The Finance Manager leads the company's financial strategies, encompassing project and corporate financing. This role oversees financial operations, including modeling, structuring, funding, forecasting, and performance analysis. Responsibilities include debt and equity management, investor relations, and coordination across teams for project execution. The Finance Manager reports to the Director of Finance and collaborates with the COO and department heads to align financial strategies with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Finance & Reporting:

  • Manage month-end closing, accounting, and financial statement preparation.
  • Develop and deliver consolidated monthly management reports.
  • Liaise with auditors and ensure account reconciliation.
  • Create, track, and manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.

Project Finance:

  • Manage project financing, including modeling, budgeting, and funding.
  • Forecast cash flow, ensure invoice compliance, and support audits.
  • Maintain cost controls according to regulations and budgets.
  • Ensure VAT compliance and legal financial processes.

Legal & Compliance:

  • Oversee legal notices and manage collection cases to achieve high recovery rates.
  • Ensure monthly targets for collections, legal filings, and resolutions are met.

People Leadership:

  • Build and lead a high-performance finance and legal team.
  • Foster continuous learning, mentorship, and team development.
  • Drive engagement through coaching and company culture initiatives.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is essential. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications like CPA, ACCA, or CFA are highly valued, especially in Dubai's competitive market.
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in finance roles is expected. Crucially, experience within the Dubai real estate market is a significant advantage, demonstrating familiarity with local regulations, RERA guidelines, and property development financing.
  • Strong financial modeling and analysis skills are paramount.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is critical as it is widely used in Dubai. Familiarity with local accounting practices is also beneficial.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial management software commonly used in the UAE.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with UAE VAT laws and their application to real estate transactions.
  • Knowledge of local legal processes related to collections and property-related financial matters.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing finance and potentially legal teams in a multicultural environment like Dubai.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital for collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  • While English is the primary business language, proficiency in Arabic can be a significant asset in Dubai.
  • Awareness of local business practices and cultural nuances in Dubai.
  • Expertise in property and homeowner association management.
