As we continue to grow, we're looking for a dedicated and proactive Reservation and Channel Distribution Manager to join our dynamic team.
The Role: Reservation & Channel Distribution Manager
Are you a tech-savvy multitasker with a deep understanding of OTA platforms, channel management tools, and pricing strategy? SmartStay is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Reservation & Channel Distribution Manager to oversee our listing strategy and reservation pipeline. In this role, you'll ensure seamless integration across platforms, optimize listing performance, and ensure compliance with platform rules, helping us drive bookings and maintain top visibility.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee listings across all OTAs (Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, Vrbo, etc.), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high-quality content.
- Optimize listings for maximum visibility and conversion, including titles, descriptions, amenities, pricing, and photos.
- Ensure compliance with OTA-specific guidelines, policies, and content standards to prevent listing suspensions or penalties.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure real-time updates on property availability, promotions, or temporary closures.
- Use channel management tools (HostAway) to maintain synchronization of rates, availability, and reservations across all platforms.
- Troubleshoot any system or integration issues.
- Monitor and report on listing performance, including booking pace, conversion rates, and pricing competitiveness.
- Liaise with OTA account managers to stay updated on trends, new tools, and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for expanding distribution to new platforms or niche channels.
- Assist with guest reallocation in case of double bookings, maintenance issues, or emergency situations—ensuring a smooth and well-communicated transition to an alternative unit.
- Support the Guest Relations and Operations teams by identifying alternative unit options, communicating with guests when needed, and updating records accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of OTA platforms and how they function, including policies, SEO, and pricing logic.
- Experience with channel management tools (e.g., HostAway, Rentals United, Siteminder).
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with short-term rental industry practices and revenue management.
- Strong English communication skills; other languages are a plus.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and reporting tools.
