Job Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Windows System Administrator to oversee and manage Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and daily operational workloads. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Windows system administration, troubleshooting, security best practices, and infrastructure optimization to ensure a stable and efficient IT environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Windows Server Administration: Maintain, configure, and optimize Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022).
• Active Directory Management: Administer Active Directory (AD), Group Policies (GPO), authentication, and user/group management.
• Network Services: Configure and manage DNS, DHCP, and other core network services to ensure seamless connectivity and efficient name resolution.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security hardening, access control policies, patching, and compliance measures to safeguard systems.
• Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve issues using Windows Performance Monitor, Event Viewer, and third-party tools.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies using tools like Veeam, Windows Backup, or third-party solutions.
• Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Incident & Change Management: Follow ITIL best practices for incident response, change management, and service request handling.
• Cloud & Hybrid Integration: Work with Azure Active Directory (AAD), Microsoft 365, and hybrid identity solutions.
• Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain clear documentation of infrastructure configurations, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 7+ years of experience as a Windows System Administrator handling enterprise workloads.
• Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, or MCSE (preferred).
• Technical Proficiency:
• Deep expertise in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Group Policies, and domain services.
• Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with security best practices, access controls, and patch management.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
• Hands-on experience with backup solutions, disaster recovery strategies, and high availability setups.
• Experience working with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, OCI).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in enterprise IT environments.
