AlUla Club is seeking a highly detail-oriented Operations Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit Division. This role is critical in evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of the Club’s operational processes, identifying internal control gaps, and ensuring compliance with regulations and organizational standards. The successful candidate will bring experience, integrity, and analytical expertise to support risk-based audits and enhance overall governance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting risk assessments to identify high-risk areas for operational audits.
- Contribute to the development of an annual audit plan based on risk assessment results and business priorities.
- Execute audits according to the approved annual audit schedule, ensuring coverage of key business processes.
- Develop and maintain a Risk Control Matrix (RCM) by identifying key risks, control activities, and testing procedures. Communicate clearly with stakeholders about audit objectives, scope, and processes to ensure cooperation.
- Understand business processes and workflows to evaluate potential control gaps and inefficiencies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls over operational processes, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Perform walkthroughs of key operational processes to identify internal control gaps.
- Execute audit testing in line with the approved audit program to assess control effectiveness and compliance.
- Gather and analyze audit evidence, such as financial and operational records, policies, system logs, and transaction details.
- Identify process inefficiencies, control weaknesses, and compliance violations, and provide practical recommendations for improvement.
- Document findings and observations with supporting evidence, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare clear, concise, and well-structured audit reports, summarizing findings, risks, and recommended actions.
- Maintain audit work papers in compliance with internal audit standards and documentation requirements.
- Assess the effectiveness of corrective actions taken by management to mitigate identified risks.
- Present audit findings and recommendations to management and discuss potential corrective actions.
- Support the Internal Audit Manager in preparing audit committee presentations, dashboards, and reports.
