Videographer

Project Background: The "European Union Communication and Visibility in Egypt project supports the EU Delegation in Egypt in effectively communicating the EU-Egypt partnership.

By raising awareness about this partnership and increasing EU visibility, the project aims to foster a better understanding of the EU-Egypt relationship, enhance the visibility of the European Union, and improve the perception of EU programmes in Egypt.

The main objective of this assignment is to capture and produce short videos showcasing the impact and progress of EU-funded projects across various locations in Egypt.

Scope of Work

The Photo/videographer Will Be Responsible For The Following Tasks

Pre-production

• Coordinate with the KE2 and the projects Social Media Manager to understand the objectives and specific requirements for each project/activity to be captured.
• In coordination with KE2 present a work plan/schedule for site visits.
• Prepare storyboards highlighting key messages and themes to be captured.
  
  

Production

Record high-definition video footage that includes various aspects of the projects, with a focus of the beneficiaries (people) of the project (with appropriate consent)

• Capture project activities and events
• Interviews with beneficiaries, project staff, and other stakeholders.
• Contextual footage showcasing the broader impact of the projects
  
  

Post-production

• Edit video footage to produce short videos (0.5 -2 minutes each) that are engaging and informative.
• Ensuring the final videos are in a format suitable for various platforms (social media, websites, presentations).
  
  

Deliverables

For each project or activity to capture, 3 short videos (exact duration to be coordinated with Social Media Manager)

Duration of Assignment

The assignment will commence as of March 23rd 2025 and last till December 2025 and could be extended upon satisfactory performance until May 2027.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as a videographer to be demonstrated through a port-folio
• Good organisational skills
• Fluent in Arabic and reasonable knowledge of English
• Familiarity with EU funded projects is an asset.
