Funds Investment & Operation Senior Associate

Job Purpose

The role holder is responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing investments opportunities, including start up, partnerships, divestments to make strategic investments to drive growth and value creation for stc and support the national innovation agenda. Investment will typically be minority investments in ventures, which fall into relevant sectors of interest to stc. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.

Job Responsibility

• Deal flow screening and execution according to Corporate Fund governance model
• Secure high quality startup deal flow investment opportunity for the fund
• Analyze financial statements, forecasts and funding requirements of each potential startups
• Perform all required due-diligence, valuations and investment thesis document
• Get all required approvals from investment committee
• Lead and analyze the proposed Investment opportunities and provide advisory recommendation to Fund Investment Committee and GCEO
• Ensure Compliance with Fund’s Governance Model
• Manage (Lead/co-invest/Exist) Investment rounds
  
  

Job Responsibility (Cont.)

• Assist startups in the areas of strategy, business plan development, market analysis, build a mentoring relationship through the mentor pool
• Provide executional support to startups in their go-to-market strategy, identify all growth target through commercial track program
• Help startups to monetize/integration opportunities with stc group and/or subsidiaries
• Support the development of internal requirements for the startup integration with stc in collaboration with BUs, FUs
• Ensure compliance with fund management governance model
• Issue quarterly/annual Fund financial statements and Performance reports in coordination with Finance Unit
• Manage portfolio risk profile in line with stc group investment strategy and utilizes expertise and past knowledge to make generally accepted recommendation
• Provide required support for drawdowns , Internal Audit observation, risk mitigation

Prior experience in Venture Capital/Investment Banks in Investment related industry

Prior experience in Business Development ,Corporate Research, Planning or Strategy in a telecom industry
