As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, automations and performance of our production systems. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to build and maintain products, improve system reliability, and develop automated solutions to address operational challenges. Your role will involve optimizing platform efficiency, driving faster troubleshooting, and minimizing downtime to deliver superior business outcomes and customer experiences.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Proactive Improvements: Proactively analyze incident patterns to provide diagnostic insights, helping to identify problems and driving their resolution in collaboration with product team
• Complex Problem Troubleshooting: Leading troubleshooting efforts for complex network issues in collaboration with support partners ensures that problems are resolved efficiently. This includes proactive management of alerts and participation in crisis management team regardless of working hours
• Operational Excellence: Influence and collaborate with product teams to prioritize and swiftly implement user stories focused on operational improvements
• Automation: Identify and implement automation opportunities to enhance operational efficiency across all tasks. Collaborate with CyberSec team for improving security measures.
• Observability Utilization: Use observability toolbox such as Dynatrace, ServiceNow and Azure Monitor, to identify and implement product improvements and automations aimed at enhancing incident resolution, product performance, and availability. Monitoring network performance metrics and using service-level agreements (SLAs), service-level indicators (SLIs), and service-level objectives (SLOs) to ensure that the network meets the required reliability standards
• Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and L3 engineers to find solutions that improve product stability and reduce incidents with proactive, long-term approach
• Capacity Planning and Scaling: Plan future capacity needs and ensure that systems can scale to handle increased loads
• Post-Incident Reviews: Conduct reviews to understand what went wrong and how to prevent similar issues in the future
• Documentation: Update and maintain document repositories describing solutions applied. Inclusive of post P1 incident reports, automation scripts, and system configurations, to ensure that knowledge is shared, and processes are repeatable.
• SRE Community Engagement: Work with Central SRE Team, Services Integration and Application Management (SIAM) manager, and the SRE Community of Practice to leverage synergies and share best practices
ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?
University bachelor’s or master’s degree
Proven experience in one or more of the following areas: Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Network Engineering, Network Architecture or similar
5+ years of professional experience in supporting network services in complex multinational organizations. Deep knowledge in Routing and Switch Platforms, Remote Access Technologies, Azure Cloud Networking, Firewall Technologies.
Hands on expertise in specific tech domain (Cisco LAN and Wireless products, FortiNet next-generation firewall products, Zscaler Remote access technologies)
Knowledge and/or experience with Secure Access Services Edge (SASE) connectivity concept is considered as an advantage. Strong expertise in automation (Ansible, Terraform, Cisco Catalyst Center or equivalent), monitoring, and performance tuning
Knowledge on the VoIP, SIP, Session Boarder Controles (SBC) and Contact Center technologies will be considered as an advantage
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during incident resolution
Fluent in written and verbal English
