Payment Operations Officer - Fraud Monitoring

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Fraud Monitoring Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring transactions, identifying suspicious activities, and helping to prevent card fraud. You will work closely with the fraud team to take prompt actions and continuously enhance fraud detection processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily alerts generated by the fraud management system and take appropriate actions such as blocking cards, placing temporary holds, or escalating cases for further investigation.
• Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on flagged transactions to confirm whether fraud occurred, and coordinate with the fraud team for card replacements if necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of confirmed fraud cases and support in preparing detailed reports on fraud patterns, trends, and financial impact.
• Collaborate with the fraud team to regularly update and optimize fraud detection rules, aiming for more accurate and timely fraud monitoring.
  
  

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Equivalent experience can be considered in place of formal education.
  
  

Experience

• 0–2 years of experience in a similar fraud or risk-related role.
  
  

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience or knowledge in card fraud detection is a plus.
• Good command of both English and Arabic.
