Taager is the first B2B startup focused on social sellers—Merchants. We are democratizing the social e-commerce space by enabling budding as well as seasoned entrepreneurs to sell online with no required capital, inventory, or operational experience. We have our Merchants covered from merchandising, warehousing, shipping, cash collection, and customer service.

In 2019 we started as a team of 8 people, now we are over 350 employees across Egypt, KSA, and the UAE. We serve more than 34K social e-commerce sellers from incredibly diverse backgrounds – from students earning a part-time income to highly ambitious digital marketing experts looking to become solo entrepreneurs. About The Position

You will work with the entire Taager team enabling our online Merchants to find the required variety and depth of SKUs. You will be responsible for the entire sourcing process and choosing the products to source acting as the link between the procurement team and supply chain team.

You need to be someone with an e-commerce background and have a strong understanding of the factors that constrain, enable and enhance the capability of individual suppliers and the supply chain as a whole. In addition, you should possess strong leadership skills; comfortable with maintaining strong stakeholder relationships through delegating and empowering your team.

Scope Of Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain optimum categories' strategies, with on-going research and analysis to ensure the strategic objectives are aligned with each commercial category.
  • Own and maintain the commercial performance and budget, as well as tracking sales and ROI.
  • Forecast market trends to generate innovative ideas in terms of promoting our product and optimizing sales.
  • Be accountable for all commercial aspects of engagement with multiple strategic suppliers; looking at existing contracts, optimize negotiation, governance and closure for better rights, etc…
  • Provision of all commercial deliverables (commercial plan, targets, Margins, healthy inventory , benefits analysis, etc…)
  • Balance the supplier requirements with those of the business to reach optimum deals position and maintain this through the lifecycle of supplier engagement.
  • Identify and implement saving opportunities.
  • Report value creation and supplier operating metrics.
  • Develop exit strategies for unprofitable products.
  • Lead by example the commercial team, namely, category managers and account managers.
