Job Description

The Product Manager for Acquiring Business in KSA is responsible for building and managing innovative merchant acquiring solutions that drive business growth and enhance the payment experience for KSA merchants. This role demands a deep understanding of the Kingdom's payment ecosystem, including the latest regulatory requirements, local market trends, and merchant needs. The incumbent will lead the product from ideation to market launch and continuous optimization, ensuring that every solution is secure, scalable, and aligned with both business objectives and company vision and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a clear, actionable product strategy and roadmap specifically for KSA acquiring services. This includes identifying market gaps, analyzing competitive offerings, and setting performance targets that align with corporate objectives. Ensure that the roadmap accounts for current regulations and anticipates upcoming changes in the payments landscape.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle—from concept, design, and development to launch, monitoring, and iterative enhancement. Ensure that product releases are well documented, thoroughly tested, and meet the highest quality and security standards.
  • Design and implement targeted initiatives to attract and onboard new merchants. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create specific strategies that address the unique challenges of the KSA market, such as local business practices and consumer behavior. Optimize the merchant onboarding process to reduce friction and boost conversion rates.
  • Act as the primary liaison between diverse teams including engineering, operations, compliance, risk management, marketing, and customer service. Facilitate regular updates and feedback loops to ensure alignment on product changes and immediate resolution of any operational issues. Engage with external partners such as acquirers, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies to maintain market relevance and compliance.
  • Ensure all acquiring products adhere strictly to KSA’s regulatory standards and security protocols. Work closely with legal and compliance teams to translate regulatory updates into actionable product modifications. Proactively identify potential risks and implement mitigating strategies to maintain operational integrity and customer trust.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to merchant acquisition, transaction volumes, system uptime, and customer satisfaction. Use data-driven insights to refine product features and improve overall performance. Regularly conduct post-launch reviews and market research to uncover areas for enhancement.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to define clear product requirements and manage integration of emerging digital payment technologies, including Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, online payment, and secure transaction protocols. Foster an environment of innovation by exploring new technologies that can further streamline merchant acquiring processes.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of key Strategic projects right from involvement in requirement consolidation, conceptualization, planning, execution and delivery
  • Effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for aligning deliveries with merchant expectations.
  • Ensure project plan creation, management and implementation within stipulated timelines and budget.
  • Ensure creation, management and completion of all documentation in line with NI Project Management Process.
  • Manage and sustain issue free delivery of all assigned projects and initiatives in order to achieve required results and ensure good customer experience.
  • Manage ongoing communication with all stakeholders with escalations wherever appropriate.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of projects and create good customer experiences through fulfillment of client expectations well within timelines and budget.
  • Manage compliance requirements during project delivery through adherence to NI policy standards for data security and mada, and international card schemes mandates.

Qualifications

Education

  • University degree or equivalent experience in Product Management and development with P&L experience, product management background

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in payments, financial services, or fintech, with at least 3 years specifically focused on merchant acquiring or product management within a similar domain.
  • Demonstrated experience working within or a strong understanding of the KSA payments landscape, including local regulations, compliance protocols, and market dynamics specific to merchant acquiring.
  • Proficiency in digital payment systems and POS integrations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data and market feedback to drive evidence-based decisions. Familiarity with agile methodologies is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and clearly articulating product strategies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, from conceptualization through to delivery and post-launch optimization. Experience in product lifecycle management and agile development practices is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in working with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners, including regulatory bodies and industry partners. Ability to negotiate, influence, and drive consensus is critical.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project and JIRA
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
  • Good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients.
