GEMS International School Soma-Bay is now hiring a dedicated Senior IT Engineer to join our team and help establish and enhance our IT infrastructure.
As a Senior IT Engineer, you will
- Provide technical support to employees experiencing issues with computer systems (iOS, Android, Windows) and networks.
- Guide and resolve escalated issues for IT Specialists on the team.
- Review, plan, install, and maintain network hardware and operating system software; assist with network design and strategic planning.
- Install, configure, and maintain servers and networking equipment, including routers, switches, printers, and storage systems.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
- Oversee Firewall and Wi-Fi Controller management.
- Support preparations and user acceptance testing for infrastructure projects and enhancements.
- Integrate servers, including print and backup servers, into enterprise systems.
- Implement and maintain reports, policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise IT applications.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes; ITIL Foundation V3 certification is preferred.
- Proven ability to analyze information systems and enhance their effectiveness.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Knowledge of infrastructure methodologies and techniques for system application and data movement to multi-cloud environments.
- Proficient in information system technologies and computer sciences.
- Experience in developing process flow diagrams and systems documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Minimum of five years of experience in PC, server, and network support.
